Let's Talk About a Blogher '09 Sponsorship Okay?

I want to go to Blogher '09.

Really, really.

I want to be able to post this banner on my sidebar:

But I can’t afford it.

We are still paying off adoption costs.

I get to go to BlissDom but only because my Mom is awesome and gave it to me for Christmas. And it's BlissDom, not Blogher.

As for Blogher, I'm beginning to see some bloggers getting sponsors to pay their entire way there and so I must admit that I'm starting to feel a wee bit left out.

Just a little.

I am afraid I might have to get pitiful here. And it's not a pretty sight.

Seriously, it's not.

So, in an effort to avoid all of that, I am coming to you for help.

I am looking for a sponsor to cover my conference fees, airfare, hotel room and incidentals. In exchange, I will laser your company logo on my forehead, become your BFF, give you my firstborn. Ok, no I won't. But I do really have a lot to offer in return.

Simple Sundays 1/25/09

Where does the time go?! Well I got pretty sick on Saturday night and now Simple Sunday is several days behind. Since it is where we post what we have come across during the week, and I came across some good stuff, well, I wanted to share although it is late. Once I make the switch to my new blog, I will start adding Mr. Linky so you can link your findings for the week as well, okay? Okay! (Think Alvin of Chipmunks fame:D)

One of the best learning articles I came across this week was from the venerable Chris Brogan again. Gosh I would love to meet this guy. He seems like just your garden variety guy, a dad(raises most guys in my estimation) who blogs and seems to have a knack for getting it...whatever the IT of the day is. Too cool. Anywho, the article he wrote on Blog Comments is really well done and insightful.

Another great post that seems as though it was written with me in mind was from Jessica of Jessica Knows. In her post titled, What to Wear to a Social Media or Blogger Conference is exactly what is on my mind with BlissDom just around the corner.

The ever-Thrifty Jinxy has written a terrific post for those of us in need of a little help knowing How to Enter Blog Contests & Giveways - Step-by-Step Instructions, along with all of her fabulous freebies and frugal suggestions.

The ever-funny Jenny from Stretchmark Mama has a delicious sounding recipe for Asian Lettuce Wraps to go along with her adoption tales, green parenting, and a side of snark. Give her a try...you will love her!

Park City - Where Heaven Highlights the Hills

Here in Texas, we occasionally get to have snow and when we do, we try to make sure that the girls get to enjoy it. But this does not even come close to the majestic beauty that is found in the mountains, especially those in and around Salt Lake City, where Brett and I met. And while I am not an avid skier, I am a winter and snow lover. One of the best places for a fantastic winter family vacation is without a doubt Park City, Utah.

From the snow-covered peaks and the ski lifts to the groomed cross-country and snow mobile trails, it one breathtaking sight after another.

The town of Park City itself is a delight with the flavor of an artsy mining town turned adventure-filled resort area. Tubing, sleigh rides, bobsledding, hot air ballooning and more are all activities available while there.

There are all sorts of accommodations - from condos with hot tubs to bed and breakfasts and everything in between.

So the next time you are thinking about planning a fun family vacation, consider Park City Mountain where Heaven highlights the hills.
